In Kite Runner, Baba loves Assef although Amir knows Assef is a horrible person for treating Hassan so badly. Baba always teaches about stealing, and assef is a huge pride stealer.(Dramatic)
There is a lot of irony in the book including dramatic, situational and verbal but the one I remember the most, partly because of the situation they were in, was when Assef gives Amir a biography of Hitler for his birthday and says "I hope you enjoy the book".

(Cosmic) - In Kite Runner, Amir receives a gift from Assef on his birthday, which was a book on Hitler. Although Amir says "Thank You", he doesn't mean this, and throws the book away. (Verbal) - In "Interpreter of Maladies", the taxi cab driver immediately sees Mrs. Das's problems, but doesn't see his own. (Dramatic Irony)

I have a great example, in Wedding Crashers when owen wilson and that girl who is getting married to the awful person realize they love eachother, and it's at night. The girl goes over and knocks on his door really quietly, and then she leaves and then he walks over to her or something, and its just like they could totally have shared eachothers feelings but they didn't. so that stinks. i guess this is also dramatic irony because we see it but they don't. maybe this works, i'm not sure.

In Kite Runner, on Amir's birthday, Assef comes for the celebrationhis parents. Instead of getting something nice for Amir, he gets him a book on Hitler. Would that be verbal? although it isn't spoken, assef was being "nice" although the message of the gift was very rude and awful.
In Kite Runner, Baba loves Assef although Amir knows Assef is a horrible person for treating Hassan so badly. Baba always teaches about stealing, and assef is a huge pride stealer.(Dramatic)
There is a lot of irony in the book including dramatic, situational and verbal but the one I remember the most, partly because of the situation they were in, was when Assef gives Amir a biography of Hitler for his birthday and says "I hope you enjoy the book".

A depressing but good exsample of dramadic irony is how Baba went from being a successful, powerful buisness man in Afghanistan to gas staton manager, living in a run down appartment in America.
An example of situational irony is how amir thought that by hiding his presents under hassans matress he would get them fired but instead baba lets them stay and hassan and ali decide they want to leave.
